History and further information about the location

The Grimmenstein plant was founded in 1879 by Hermann Walli, originally as a wood sanding shop and later converted to the production of cardboard boxes. From the mid-1930s, the company began producing wadded cellulose products and quickly grew to become a competent partner in the years that followed.

At the end of the 1980s, the site was taken over by Paul Hartmann AG Heidenheim, as a result of which numerous investments were made in the coming years to increase the company's performance and competitiveness.

The production site currently has two paper machines for its own raw material supply, a production line for manufacturing medical pads, a clean room area for manufacturing swabs and various other systems for processing medical pulp. Under the leadership of Managing Director Herbert Baumgartner, around 70 dedicated employees currently work at the company.
